Free printable salah chart for kids
A weekly and a monthly salah tracker, free to print · Updated October 2026
Print one for each child and put it on the fridge. Each time they pray, they color in the box or add a sticker. It works as a namaz chart too: salah and namaz are two names for the same prayer.

Both print well in color or black and white. To use one again and again, laminate it, or slip it into a clear sheet protector, and fill it in with a dry-erase marker.
How to use it
- Start with one prayer. Five at once is a lot for a child. Pick one they’re home for, like Maghrib, and color its star: that’s their focus prayer.
- Pray it side by side. Children copy what they see, so make it the prayer the family prays together.
- Notice every day they join. A sticker, a smile, a “mashallah”. Missed one? Just start again tomorrow.
- Add the next one when they’re ready. After a few steady weeks, add Isha or Asr, one prayer at a time.
At what age should children start?
The Prophet ﷺ told parents to begin at seven:
“Command your children to pray when they become seven years old…”Sunan Abi Dawud 495
Before seven, let them join in with no pressure; standing beside you is how they learn what salah looks like. From seven, a chart is a gentle way to build the habit, one prayer at a time.
Questions parents ask
Is the salah chart really free?
Yes. Download it, print as many as you like for your family, your class or your masjid, and share the link with other parents.
Is a salah chart the same as a namaz chart or a salah tracker?
Yes. Salah, salat and namaz are names for the same five daily prayers, and a chart or tracker is anything that marks the ones prayed. This one works for all of them.
Weekly or monthly?
Start with the weekly chart: a full week is easy to see on the fridge, and a fresh sheet each week is a small new start. Once the habit is steady, the monthly chart shows the whole month on one page.
How should I mark Jummah?
On Friday, Jummah is prayed in place of Dhuhr, so the weekly chart labels that box “Jummah”. Whether they pray Jummah or Dhuhr that day, color in the same box; on the monthly chart, it’s Dhuhr’s circle.
How many rakats is each prayer?
Fajr has 2 fard rakats, Dhuhr 4, Asr 4, Maghrib 3 and Isha 4, and most prayers have sunnah rakats too. Our salah rakat chart shows them all, with sources.
What if my child misses a prayer?
Leave the box empty and move on. The chart is there to notice the prayers they do pray, not to keep score. Missed one? Start again with the next.
Get new charts by email
We’ll send new charts as we make them, and one email when Raka launches.
Raka does this on your phone
Raka: Family Salah is an iPhone app for praying on time as a family. Prayer times and a reminder at each one; after each prayer, tap who prayed with you, and each child’s sticker goes on their own calendar, starting with one focus prayer. Your children don’t need a phone.
