Both print well in color or black and white. They have day numbers, not dates, so they work every year, whichever day your masjid begins Ramadan.
30 small good deeds for Ramadan
One for each day of the calendar, small enough for a young child with a little help:
- Say “Ramadan Mubarak” to your family
- Help set the table for iftar
- Say “Bismillah” before you eat
- Pray one prayer with your family
- Make dua for someone you love
- Give something to charity
- Name 3 things you’re thankful for
- Learn a little of a short surah
- Share a snack or a toy
- Wake up for suhoor with your family
- Say salam to everyone at home
- Make a Ramadan card for a neighbor
- Pray a prayer right on time
- Listen to a story of a prophet
- Help make iftar
- Say sorry, or forgive someone
- Call a grandparent
- Hand out dates at iftar
- Say “SubhanAllah” 33 times
- The last ten nights start tonight: make a special dua
- Tidy your room without being asked
- Give food to people who need it
- Pray some of Taraweeh
- Learn a new dua
- Be extra kind to someone at home
- Tonight is the 27th night: make lots of dua
- Stay calm when you feel cross
- Make Eid cards for your friends
- Help your family give Zakat al-Fitr
- Get your Eid clothes ready
How to use them
- Put them where everyone sees them. The fridge works, or the wall by the prayer mat.
- One small thing a day is plenty. If a day is missed, do it tomorrow or let it go. The calendar is there to make Ramadan feel special, not to keep score.
- Pray together when you can. Iftar brings everyone home at the same time, so Maghrib, prayed just after, is the easiest prayer to pray as a family.
- Look back on Eid. Count the dots and the colored pictures together, and ask everyone which day they liked best.
The special nights
The last ten nights of Ramadan are its most precious, and Laylat al-Qadr is sought in their odd nights (Sahih al-Bukhari 2017). Each Islamic day begins at sunset, so the 21st night is the evening of day 20. That’s why the calendar marks days 20 and 26 in purple, and the tracker puts a star on Taraweeh on days 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28: the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th and 29th nights.
Questions parents ask
Are the Ramadan printables really free?
Yes. Download them, print as many as you like for your family, your class or your masjid, and share the link with other parents.
What age is the Ramadan calendar for?
About 4 to 10. Younger children can do each day’s good deed with a parent, and older ones can read the calendar themselves. The prayer tracker is for the whole family.
Do children have to fast?
No. Fasting becomes required at puberty. Many families let younger children practice with part of a day, or a few days in the month, and the tracker’s Fast column counts those too.
When is Ramadan 2027?
It’s expected to begin on Monday, February 8, 2027, with Eid al-Fitr on March 9 or 10. Our Ramadan 2027 page has the key dates, a countdown, and suhoor and iftar times.
Why is the first Taraweeh before day 1?
The first night of Ramadan is the evening before the first fast, and Taraweeh begins that night. The tracker gives it its own box above day 1.
Why is day 30 dashed?
An Islamic month has 29 or 30 days, so Ramadan may end after day 29. If it does, the 30th day is Eid.
Is there a chart for the rest of the year?
Yes: our free salah chart for kids, weekly or monthly, and a salah rakat chart with how many rakats are in each prayer.

Raka does this on your phone
